In this post, Ben will take you through how to operate the Talkback receivers in the TV studio. There is a training video below, or you can use the step-by-step guide.

Step-by-step guide

1. All talkback receivers are labelled up as TB receiver. It doesn’t matter which receiver a presenter uses, as long as they have one

1. All TB receivers are labelled

2. Use the black knob on the top of the receiver to control power and volume

2. Power and volume are controlled bt

3. The volume should be set somewhere between 3 and 4 on the receiver. You can adjust the volume incrementally, as the knob clicks as you turn it. Volume should be increased slowly, one click at a time.

3. Volume should be between 3 and 4

4. Top tip- If you can hear an echo of your own voice, then the volume is set too high on the receiver. Use the black knob to turn the volume down until the echo disappears
